The new work is composed of a series of LED sculptures programmed with a new multi-channel video work alongside a spatial intervention into the gallery’s first floor. Adrien Giraux, White Screen Studio and Jepser Just have been collaborating mulitple times over the past decade and this solo show at the famous Perrotin Gallery nyc is the demonstration of a powerful partnership. Adrien Giraux Creative direction bring to life Jesper s work in many intersting layers Jesper Just distorts rituals of movement through video and performance—two media he pairs in perverse combinations to destabilize museum architecture and to create plangent moving images that echo with anticipation and longing. His multichannel video work Servitudes—shot in 2015 at One World Trade Center on the occasion of his solo exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris—brims with a restrained yet intense kineticism as its two mobility-limited protagonists internalize the skyscraper’s haunted&nbsp;architecture. Last autumn and with seven performers from the American Ballet Theater, just made his newest video, Corporealités, at Perrotin’s New York gallery, where the video installation will be on display&nbsp;from January 14, 2020, to February 15, 2020. JUST Adrien Giraux - EXHIBIT:&nbsp; SCENOGRAPHYFILM: ART DIRECTIONIn the lower gallery at the Palais de Tokyo, Jesper Just creates an audiovisual installation and a vast spatial intervention which transform the existing space and the visitor’s journey. The videos, at once independent and interconnected, explore the idea that the metropolis is an entity with a body. The films follow two characters: a young girl and a disabled child, played respectively by Dree Hemingway and Rylee Sweeney. The young girl does not appear as an individual but instead embodies the ideals of youth and femininity conveyed by contemporary society. MATTE PROJECTS PRODUCTION Adrien Giraux - PRODUCTION DESIGN &amp; ART DIRECTION REEBOK WAS OPENING THE FW19 SHANGHAI FASHION WEEK WITH THEIR FIRST EVER RUNWAY PRESENTATION OF INLINE PRODUCT AND CALLED ON MATTE TO CONCEPT AND EXECUTE AN APPROPRIATELY EXTRAVAGANT FASHION SHOW. With only inline product on the runway, the heavy lifting on the storytelling side needed to come through in the creative direction of the show. Reebok knew that this show represented the next step for the brand, and wanted to articulate where that step took them. The brand’s “sport the unexpected” mantra became our guiding principle as we sought to bring Reebok’s evolution to life. Knowing that Reebok had made significant retail push to reignite the brand in China and hoped to grow brand awareness and loyalty with the Chinese customer, we looked to the country for our inspiration. With strategic insight from Chinese partners we explored a slew of forward thinking thematic foundations. As we ideated, news came out that China became the first country to land a vehicle on the dark side of the moon. This immense achievement, a unified drive to explore the unknown, became our creative bedrock, from which our show direction grew. Welcome to The Other Side. Inspired by the evocative angles of Reebok’s vector logo, we used light and reflection to create an eye-catching runway show, presenting the brand’s inline product in an unexplored context. With a mirrored runway flanked by lighted plinths, we reflected on the infinite possibilities of the new collection, creating moments in which the hidden was revealed. <img width="2560" height="1393"
